●  Judge's Pre-Training and Training Conferences:

●  Spotlight Sale:

  • Sat, Oct 15th - Set up Spotlight Sale Pens (3-5 people needed)

  • Sat thru Sat, Oct 15th - 22nd - Clean pens & tent, Feed & Water Animals (1-2 people per day)

  • Sat, Oct 22nd - VERY EARLY - Set up for Spotlight Sale & putting plastic down (2-3 people needed)

  • Sat, Oct 22nd - AFTERNOON - Clean up plastic & take down pens (3-5 people needed)

  • People may also be needed to transport goats from the airport to the hotel during the week & from the hotel to the airport on Saturday, Oct 22nd.

●  Billing Liaison:

A detail oriented person that can take the lists (from the technical, vendor, food service people, etc) and make sure the bill from the hotel is correct. This person needs to start working a few months before the convention and needs to be at the convention every day.

 

●  Food Service Liaison:

A person knowledgeable with convention or event planning that is willing to help us with food for the convention. Work with the hotel staff to make sure all the food needs (breed clubs, directors rooms, hospitality are ordered and billed correctly. (work with billing liaison).

 

●  Hospitality:

A person willing to coordinate groups to sponsor the hospitality table, making sure the hospitality table is stocked with supplies, Getting food to supply the table and finding volunteers to man the table when groups are not available. This job can start as soon as you want it to. The work gets more involved closer to convention, and involves work every day of the convention.

  • Additional hospitality opportunities:

    • Groups needed to sponsor the hospitality table

    • People needed to man the hospitality table.

●  Tours:

A person willing to work with the Grand Rapids convention bureau to find and arrange 1-2 tours in the Grand Rapids area.     This job needs to start right away!

 

●  Decorations:

A Chair plus 2-3 people willing to decorate the convention area.

This committee needs to meet in October of 2010 to plan so that some of the decorations can be purchased on sale this year.    The rest of the work is done right before and on Sat, Oct 15th.

 

●  Security:

A Chair plus 1-3 people willing to provide security in the spotlight sale tent, vendor area, and vendor parking area.

 

●  Entertainment:

A person willing to plan the Fri night ball. If this person is really energetic they can plan entertainment for Wed Night Ball as well.   Some conventions have had a karaoke night on Wed Night, or have found a sponsor for a meal on Wed Night - any ideas?
