Become A Member of the Society

The Michigan Dairy Goat Society, is open to any person, firm, or partnership, involved with, interested in, or just curious about, dairy goats and their products.

Individuals wishing to join, must apply directly to the Society, by submitting an application and paying the required annual fee, represented as membership dues.

The fiscal period for the Society, begins on the same day of the MDGS Annual Meeting, which is held on the second Saturday in March, during the Annual MDGS Spring Goat Day Activities.

Members, aged 16-years and older, who hold a valid/paid membership, are entitled to one (1) vote in the General Election for the Society Officers. Each member household receives an annual subscription to the Society's bi-monthly, GoatNews Magazine.

Each issue of this bi-monthly newsletter, contains useful information pertaining to dairy goats and their care, including herd management techniques and other helpful tips.

Also packed within the pages are current topics and articles related to both the Society and the goat industry, making it a useful and entertaining publication.

A Great Advertising Value....

The MDGS GoatNews is received in over 200 households, including dairy and meat goat breeders in Michigan, making it an excellent choice for getting your word out to other goat-minded folks.
